NORTH AMERICA: Green Key Global, a sustainability certification organisation for hotels in North America, has partnered with BWH Hotels.
The partnership will mean BWH Hotels’ properties can implement a standardised sustainability programme across the United States and Canada.
Rebecca Bartlett Jones, director of Green Key Global explained that the programme “is designed to help hotels improve their environmental performance and reduce their carbon footprint.”
Michael Morton, vice president of brand management, BWH Hotels said: “We are delighted to partner with Green Key Global to further establish sustainability standards across our properties.
“Green Key Global is a trusted and recognised organisation, and we believe this partnership will enable us to strengthen our commitment to sustainability and provide our guests with an environmentally responsible hotel experience.”
In September the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) signed a Letter of Intent to form a joint venture company that will own and operate the Green Key Global certification programme in the United States and Canada.
