UK: Community-focused hybrid hospitality group, The Social Hub, will debut in the UK in April with the opening of its Glasgow property.
The four star Social Hub Glasgow will be the 18th property to open in Europe for the Amsterdam-based company, with other locations currently operating in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain.
We reported on the San Sebastián property opening earlier this week.
Founded by entrepreneur Charlie MacGregor, who grew up in Edinburgh, The Social Hub aims for a better society which is “created when people with vision and talent come together from all walks of life.”
The newly built 20,000 sqm Glasgow hotel will offer 494 rooms, including extended stay studios with kitchenettes and student rooms, and will feature one of the city’s largest rooftop bars, as well as a laid-back restaurant, bar and a shop.
The hotel features hybrid spaces including co-working facilities for 222 people, meeting and event spaces totalling 1,500 sqm, a large community kitchen, restaurants, bars, and gyms alongside a schedule of curated purpose-driven workshops and events.
