WORLDWIDE: Preferred Travel Group’s Beyond Green has expanded its partnership with andBeyond Travel adding 23 new properties to its portfolio.

The group, which is also adding new itineraries across Africa and the Americas to its website, will be adding the properties over the next year.

Through partnerships with like-minded properties Beyond Green aims to support and amplify the impactful work of its member hotels that are “walking the walk of sustainability leadership” around the world.

AndBeyond has been running its initiatives in community-based conservation, wildlife protection, and environmental stewardship since 1991.

Some of the 23 properties added to the portfolio include the newly launched andBeyond Punakha River Lodge in Bhutan, the recently renovated andBeyond Phinda Forest Lodge in South Africa, and andBeyond Ngala Tented Camp in South Africa, reopening in September.

To ensure adherence to sustainability standards, the 23 new lodges and camps will undergo on-site inspections led by third-party sustainable tourism experts.

The inspections will take place over the next 12 months, with properties only becoming bookable on Beyond Green’s website when they have achieved the sustainability standards required.

Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO of Beyond Green said: “Through this forward-looking approach with andBeyond, we are uniquely positioned to effect meaningful change in the tourism sector, inspiring travellers to embark on journeys that prioritise sustainability and the protection of our planet. There is no better or more critical time than now for us to unite and build a better, brighter future for all.”

Joss Kent, executive chairman and CEO, andBeyond said: “As part of our 2030 vision to scale our impact through strategic partnerships and coalitions of change, we are incredibly pleased to announce an expanded collaboration with Beyond Green. Their dedication to sustainability exemplifies our own ethos as a bespoke luxury travel company committed to responsible travel across our operational footprint.

“As global focus continually shifts toward the urgent preservation of Earth’s wild places, we believe our expanded partnership will be a powerful continued influence shifting travelers to more sustainable travel practices.”

The two brands launched their original collaboration in 2021, when four andBeyond properties – andBeyond Vira Vira andBeyond (Pucón, Chile), andBeyond Bateleur Camp (Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya), andBeyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge (Sossusvlei Private Desert Reserve), and Mnemba Island, which is currently undergoing a refurbishment and will reopen in October 2024 (Zanzibar, Tanzania).

In December Beyond Green launched its first global impact report.
