Sustainable Hotel News and Hyatt Place London City East are hosting a round table event next week with industry experts talking about circularity in the hospitality sector – and we are really looking forward to bringing you the golden nuggets of wisdom from these fantastic minds!
We also bring news that the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance has launched its Universal Sustainability KPIs at COP29. The initiative will focus on adherence to the GHG Protocol, expanding Scope 3 emissions, and establishing a comprehensive system of data verification in preparation for COP30. More below.
There's a story from Wyndham as it helps diverse hoteliers with the critical issue of capital and WISE Sustainability has also partnered up with the Alliance to offer its technology for more transparent and verifiable realtime data across the sector.
Our Q&A is with Mantis Collection's Gareth Venner – a great chat about responsible tourism over the last couple of decades – and the inspiring banana leaf slipper project in Rwanda.
Until next time,
